We’ve laid the foundation for our continued expansion and we feel that Qurant is well positioned for the future. With the investments we’ve made during 2018 we’ve tripled our subscriber base, drastically increased brand awareness and built a very solid platform and digital services. We’ve established our position as the leading innovative, flexible and proactive occupational health care provider.
Now you have the opportunity to be part of our continued expansion. Through becoming a part of Qurant you will help corporations to reduce sick-leave and creating a sustainable working environment which gives healthier employees and increased profitability.
The problem this product solves
Traditional occupational healthcare is seldom used preventatively. Studies show that investments in proactive healthcare can give up to five times ROI, measured in positive effect in improved capacity, decreased sick-leave and need for rehabilitation.
The employer has a substantial responsibility when it comes to sick leave/rehabilitation that requires a lot of time. In today’s hectic working environment, the management rarely has the time to prioritize this, leading to the employees health slipping between the cracks. This means longer periods of sick-leave which costs huge sums in loss of production. It also creates extra work for management and the other employees.
How the product solves it
Qurant is a proactive occupational healthcare that provides support for management and the employee in all aspects regarding sick-leave and health at the workplace. Everything starts with our self-designed digital tool for quick and easy management of sick-leave. Qurant gathers all absences in one place and makes it easy to see the health status of the employees /organization, giving employers the tools to see early indications of illness and make it possible to act proactively to reduce sick leave and get healthier employees.
Due to the investments we’ve made we have a very robust digital platform and tool.
Qurant replaces traditional occupational healthcare by integrating a digital management of sick leave with healthcare, rehab and questions regarding working environment.
The employees provide notification of absence through a mobile app and our nurses contact them with advice and guidance. If needed the employees have access to our large network of care providers who can provide fast access to proper care. Speeding up recovery and decreases uncertainty.
Management is notified of absences via email/text message and receives reminders/recommendations on actions. In our health-portal management can see statistics for a clear picture of the health-status of the employees/company.
Product use cases
An employee gets sick and reports his/her absence in Qurants app. The employees manager is notified and no further action is required from his/her part knowing that Qurant handles follow ups and possible care requirements. Qurants nurses contacts the employee and discusses the next step.
Qurant updates the management every step of the way and provides an estimation on how long the absence will be. In our health-portal it’s easy to manage employees, see the status on actions and follow up on the absence to simplify planning and personnel. All this for 49 SEK per employee/month.

Stress/ psychological illness are the most common causes for long-term sick-leave. Studies show that 50-60% of longer absences are because of these causes. At the same time 35% of Sweden’s workforce are without occupational healthcare.
The total Swedish market is 4,5 million employees with an annual turnover of 4 billion SEK. Sick leave costs for employers in Sweden is close to 19 billion SEK annually in direct cost and 100 billion SEK in indirect costs such as decreases in production.
We also see great growth potential in managing reporting of absence digitally. Just 1% of companies has such a service.
There are two main types of competitors:
Traditional occupational healthcare as Previa, Avonova and Feelgood. Very rigid and haven’t been able to keep up with the growing demand for proactivity and digital solutions. Mainly focused on very large organizations where as we at Qurant mainly focus on companies with up to 1000 employees.
The innovative group with Curando and Aino health has an offer similar too that of Qurant regarding managing sick-leave. What we here at Qurant have is 10 years of experience of care-planning and being first with bringing our concept to the market giving us the upper hand.
Unique differentiator from competitors
Qurant is far ahead when it comes to developing new functions and services for our digital tools. Our organization is well prepared to handle large scale growth without additional investments. The feedback we’re getting from our users is that we are perceived as “flexible and attentive” in developing the product and user experience together with our clients.
Our software can easily be customized for other occupational healthcare providers to use with their own name.
Company revenue streams
Qurants main source of revenue comes from subscription fees, based on the number of employees at our customers. The cost is 49sek/month per employee. In addition to this Qurant also receives commission from doctors, therapists etc. who’s services we use meaning we have two streams of revenue.
Qurant´s main focus is small to medium sized organizations with up to 1000 employees. Our service is distributed in the whole of Sweden since it’s geographically independent. We operate through a combination of distribution channels:
- Traditional sales through own sales force
- Qurant Free, an automated service that the customer themselves sign up for online
- Latest technologies in marketing for leads generation in both digital marketing and marketing automation.
The past year we’ve tripled the number of subscribed customers. We have a solid prospect list and see a huge increase in awareness about Qurant. We’ve:
- Established our position as the leading digital occupational healthcare in terms of proactivity, innovation and managing sick leave.
- Developed a very strong digital platform.
- Targeted new segments such as the insurance sector and local occupational healthcare providers. Both segments can generate large volumes.
- Signed several new partnership agreements.
- Gained valuable feedback on how we can further improve and develop our concept to provide even better value and user experience.
Next key objectives
We’ve laid the foundation; our strategy is sound, and we can feel the wind in our sails going in to 2019.
- Launch our health barometer
- Triple the amount of active clients
- Sign five new partnership agreements within new target groups
Now is the time to step up increase our efforts to accelerate the rate of sales. We welcome you as a shareholder.
Qurant is a service of Svensk Vårdförmedling Försäljning AB. The development of the new service Qurant has been financed by passed profits, shareholder's contribution from the parent company and a loan of 1,5 MSEK from Almi. Up until 2016 the sole focus of the company was care planning for insurance agencies. From 2017 and onwards our sole focus is the new service Qurant, all other commitments are more or less phased out. During 2018 we a crowdfunding campaign through FundedByMe. Now we’re taking the next step.
The services are based on a close relationship with caregivers in the areas of work-related healthcare, specialist care, psychology, physical therapy, work therapy, rehabilitation, working environment etc. We now have a large network of caregivers in most segments spread across Sweden, something that we will continue to build and develop. Many of our partners are also ambassadors for us and recommends us to their existence customers who are in need of a provider of occupational healthcare.
Use of funds
The decision-making process amongst potential clients has been somewhat longer then what we anticipated. At the same time, we’re seeing a good amount of interest from the market for our digital tools and services. Marketing and sales activities has shown good results.
Therefor we wish to use 90% of the additional funds on increasing these activities. The remaining 10% we’re allocating for further development of our tools and acting on all the valuable feedback we’ve been getting from our users to further increase the user experience.
Qurant has been on the market since Q3 2017. Since then we’ve gained a lot of positive attention for the support we give to our users, our accessibility, flexibility and solid platform. Many customers have also seen a real decrease in sick-leave.
“Qurant has become an extra resource for me to work proactively with employee health and managing sick-leave, my employees are very happy with the support and guidance they get from Qurants nurses throughout their sick-leave. I get easy access to data and statistics to use in preemptive work against ill-health”
Roger Backlund Burmans UR & Guld, Stjärnurmakarna Skellefteå
We are well positioned for the future. There is no set exit-strategy at this time, but likely scenarios are an acquisition or taking the company public.
- Long lead times at customers can make revenue come later than anticipated. Today a common timeframe today is 2–6 months from first contact to a signed deal. We are working hard to reduce this.
- Unwillingness amongst potential customers to change from old ways of doing thing. This is always a risk but we’re seeing an increased openness towards changing methodology since companies are always looking to reduce their set, administrative costs.
- Similar concept hitting the market. This risk exists but we’re fully operational and proven that our concept works which mean that we have a very good head start.
