Product

The problem this product solves

In today's world it's getting more and more complicated for companies to market products for young adults in a complicated digital arena where most things gets old fast. Mainstream marketing strategies have rapidly become obsolete as they do not succeed in reaching and engaging with a new type of audience that consumes media and content in ways which are alien to previous generations. In order to survive companies need new and better ways to communicate and engage with their target audience by being present in the digital environments and communities in which today's digital consumers decide what to buy.

How the product solves it

The Final Tribe competes at the highest level of esports, the fastest growing cultural phenomenon on the planet, with the global audience surpassing 180 million in 2019, and it is estimated to reach 280+ million in 2022. We are hosting 3 teams and a total of 17 players, all with a rank between top 10 and 200 in EU and the world. Alongside our aggressive #dothework approach to talent management we are a packaging an edgy sponsor marketing solution for companies with heavy emphasis on video content.

Product features

An esports club - in the industry often referred to as an "Esports Organization" - acquires teams and players to compete under its brand. It then bundles different sponsor marketing solutions which it sells to companies that want to associate its brand and products with esports, and communicate with the esports audience. We help companies communicate and engage with their customers.

Ludwig grew up in Gothenburg where he studied law at the Gothenburg School of Business, Finance and Law. During his law studies he found an interest in finance and economy, being the chairman for the Finance Group and part of Handels Capital Management, besides working two years at Six Financial Information as a reporter on Swedish and American stock markets. After university and spending some time abroad he returned to Gothenburg in 2014 and started working at the startup tech business law firm Jansson & Norin, founded by childhood friend Johan Norin and Nils-Erik Jansson, working close to the founders and being part of management and the board. At Jansson & Norin he was raised in startup business. In his last year at the firm Ludwig played a vital part in incorporating and founding Swedish esports club Alliance into a Swedish company, No Tidehunter AB, the brand previously being owned by Twitch, and soon afterwards started working in the management of Alliance as the Chief Strategy Officer. One year into his journey with Alliance Ludwig had developed a vision for a new organization which heavily empathized psychical workout, professionalism and sophistication. When Alliance wanted to rebuild it's Dota 2 roster after failing to qualify for The International 7 the opportunity arose to work with three pro players - Era, Handsken and Jonassomfan - and shortly TFT was founded in Malmö in late 2017 together with one of his oldest and best friends Thomas Nowell. Previous Financing

The Final Tribe was founded with 300K SEK in cash from the managing founders and the bravery, sweat and fortitude of three key founders and Dota 2 pro players; Era, Handsken and Jonassomfan, all of which for the first half a year played and worked without a salary.

In april 2018 we retrieved an angel investment of 1 MSEK from a group of investors most of whom are working in Stockholm's private equity industry.

In March 2019 The Final Tribe retrieved an additional 2 MSEK investment from the CEO as well as old and new investors.

Use of funds

Resources retrieved from the campaign shall:

- Help finance a 1,5 year runway with current spending and turnover
- Be invested in talent and team performance optimization
- Be invested in growth of key accounts and more sales
- Be invested in talent, team and brand promotion and production
- Be invested in creating and packaging better products for the esports audience and sponsors

Return on Investment

We aim to start paying dividends in 2021.

We expect continuous merging of Class A and Class B ownership with current and new key partners whereas opportunity will arise for current owners to do tag along exits.

High exposure to unpredictable but commercially explosive events might mean spikes in revenue, such as placing well at The International or other major tournaments, which could result in earlier dividend payments.

Risk Analysis

Esport is growing rapidly and investors are flooding the market with capital. This allows the largest clubs, who entered the market early on, to gain a competitive advantage in terms of great financial stability with vast resources and opportunity to invest in the future. In order to stay on the top we must acquire means to compete in terms of resources to be invested in the growth of all our operations, so as to be part of the prosperous esports market in the future. Big clubs don't die. Survive the beginning and you will make it to the end.
