We´re also adding a 50% discount on any purchase in our web shop for all shareholders. Every year. That means that if you become a shareholder and also purchases your watch shortly thereafter the deal is kind of sweet.

The BOOM Watches concept is really simple: We offer consumers both a high-quality timepiece and the opportunity to create the perfect personalized accessory to suit individual tastes and styles, simply by changing one or more parts of the watch according to occasion or mood.

We give you the freedom to synchronize your watch with your own style by enabling you to design it personally. The watch can be changed and adapted to follow fashion trends and to suit individual tastes.

Watches are sold pre-designed and fully assembled, or can be purchased part by part.

Product features

By creating a concept where a complete watch consists of 4 different parts, each and every one of them interchangeable, we take the perception of the watch from being a purely functional item to being a high-end fashion accessory.

No matter if you change one or many of the different parts, you can always be sure to find the perfect watch upon every mood or situation.

By owning 3 pieces of each parts (dial, case, top ring, strap) you can easily create up to 81 different versions of a watch. Time and fashion in a box!

Product use cases

Early adaptors are fashion-orientated and keep an open mind with regards to new trends and influences. They use their watches to express their individual style and mood, and appreciate the endless combinations offered by BOOM Watches.

The distribution (B2B) will initially be focused on key retailers on carefully selected markets in Scandinavia and northern Europe. Initial markets for B2C are Europe + Asia.

Once established, we will begin the international roll-out that is scheduled to start during the first half of 2017.

Competitive landscape

Historically the watch industry has been dominated by classic watch brands with long heritage or fashion watch brands.

But following the trends from Daniel Wellington, Triwa etc the watch industry are moving towards having a watch as an accessory. The main difference between prestige and affordable watches is that usually people would own only one prestige watch, whereas, in order to suit each individual occasion and outfit, a number of affordable watches would be required to be swapped around to achieve the desired look.

There is a generation change in the industry where fashion brands managed to reach tremendous success.

Company revenue streams

Our business model allows scaleable growth through distribution network with multiple channels involving booth strategic alliances, third party distributors and online solutions. The model is based on proven commercial principals.

Sales will be carried out through distributors and/or sales agents and the founders will set up
distribution through their global network of distributors, created during +25 years in the industry.

Furthermore e-commerce sales direct to consumers will be important in our expansion, built on proven affiliate marketing models with attractive margins and a scalable business model.

Execution

Previous milestones/traction

We already know what it takes to create a collection of watches and take it to market.

We are up and running with our new webshop, selling the new BOOM Watches collection with an offering for worldwide payments and shipping.

Now we´re taking it a couple of steps further, by launching our new and exceptional digital platform. The unique design-module encapsulates the essence of Boom and gives consumers an easy overview of available combinations and options. The platform will function as back-end booth for our e-commerce platform and our digital in-store POS system.

Next key objectives

We have a clear digital strategy with focus on social medias (Primarily Facebook, Instagram and blogger/celebrities). Digital marketing gives us the opportunity to reach the right person at the right time and a content-based SEO optimization will be the key to drive traffic to our e-commerce.

The majority of our media investments will be trackable and performance based to minimize the business risk. Based on these trends and a strong infrastructure and offline sales partnership we see great opportunity to create a buzz around BOOM Watches. Today, we already have +7000 likes on Facebook and +2000 follower on Instagram.

Up until now we´ve been financed by:
  • Ourselves, the founding team

We are partnering with industry leading vendors when it comes to manufacturing of the high end quality parts for our watches.

Any startup is a risk, it comes with the nature of the context. However, we strongly believe that BOOM Watches, with it´s multiple proven tema of experienced watch brand builders minimizes the risks and enhances the opportunities.

Delays in on the production side as well as shipping will always be a part of the risk for any e-commerce startup.
