What is MobiTrotter?
LNC global mobile AB (LNC) is providing mobile services to reduce call and surf rates for travellers. The strategy is to sell through partnerships with the tour operators, travel agencies and travel related companies such as car rentals and credit card companies. LNC is operating under two brand names, MobiTrotter, targeting the smartphone segment and LandNCall for users without smartphones. The main potential is with the MobiTrotter apps.
At the moment we have launched the services in Sweden with Apollo, part of the Tui group. We will get full exposure in December 2014. The plan is to expand the service to cover also Norway, Denmark and Finland.
We have a contract with Ving Sverige, part of the Thomas Cook group launching the services in december 2014.
MobiTrotter apps significantly reduces the cost to: • Receive calls to their regular number • Make international calls from abroad • Surf abroad as the service is based on local sim cards • Make international calls from home • Make and receive calls within WiFi zones (To be launched) • Make free calls WiFi - WiFi (To be launched)
MobiTrotter currently offers one app for WiFi and one for local sim. Both apps are using the same account and back end functionality. It is easy for the user to switch between the apps. A new combined app is in development and will be released in the near future. This will make the solution even more convenient to the users.
The trend is that WiFi is expanding from hotel lobbies to the hotel rooms and the complete hotel area. This makes it is very convenient to use our WiFi services. The customer has the option to use a local sim card when leaving the hotel area. This gives full coverage and access to data when on the go.
MobiTrotters current distribution strategy is to work together with the big international tour operators, travel agencies and travel related companies. MobiTrotter has already signed agreements with some of the international tour operators and will continue with this cost efficient distribution strategy. Going forward we aim to sign partnerships with operators covering 40% of international leisure travellers in each market we approach.

Roaming and international calls are overpriced by the traditional operators. Using mobile surf abroad could easily cost more than the whole trip itself! We have all read the articles about people having to pay incredible amounts of money for calls and surf on their vacations.
With our solution the travel industry can provide a solution for their customers that enables them to use the phone as if they where at home, without spending a fortune. Mobile users are used to share pictures over social media, they are using maps and GPS when travelling. At the same time they would like to be reachable as if they where at home. With MobiTrotter they can do all that without getting a heavy bill upon returning home.

Background and history
LNC global mobile was funded in March 2013. The story goes back further though.
In November 2011 Peter, one of our founders retuned from a trip to Thailand and found himself having to pay for a nasty phone bill from the trip. Peter contacted Jan, the other of the founders and together they looked at what could be done to avoid overpriced voice and data when travelling.
The discussions resulted in the starting of a company called LandNCall. The company provided Sim cards from Thailand combined with a VoIP solution for the international traffic. LandNCall was first in the world to provide this solution. The company signed agreements with the four major travel agencies in Scandinavia and provided the service in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
Within half a year after launch LandNCall was bought by AllTele, the provider of the VoIP traffic in the solution. LandNCall was run as a part of the AllTele group until March 2013 when the original founders bought back the company. The company name is now LNC global mobile AB and LandNCall is one of the brand names. We are still selling this service in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland to travellers going to Thailand, Spain and Mexico. During 2013 and the first half of 2014 we have worked on providing an even better service based on Android and iPhone Apps under the brand name MobiTrotter. The MobiTrotter Android app was made publically available in December 2013. The iPhone app was made publically available in May 2014. The WiFi apps are planned to be released by end of 2014.
At the moment we have launched the services in Sweden with Apollo, one of the leading travel agencies in Scandinavia. The plan is to expand the service to cover also Norway, Denmark and Finland.
We have a contract with Ving Sverige, part of the Thomas Cook group, launching the services in december 2014.
The next generation of the apps are in development and are soon to be launched. They will include both Local SIM functionality and WiFi.
The Mobitrotter solution works in all destination countries. We are currently selling the services in Sweden. The system is designed so that it can rapidly be launched in over 50 countries. The expansion will follow the coverage of our main partners in the travel industry to ensure that we are successful both technically but also in terms of distribution and support. Some key areas and countries are high on the priority list such as - The rest of Scandinavia - Canada/US - Germany - France - UK - Poland - Russia - Malaysia - Singapore
End user benefits
The MobiTrotter services has been designed so that the end user can use their smartphone while abroad, as if they where at home, without paying the huge bills that comes with traditional operators. With a unlocked Android or iPhone the user can use a local SIM card. The MobiTrotter service forwards the calls made to regular number to the local SIM charging VoIP prices. Calls back to the country of origin is made by Call Back and VoIP calls keeping the cost down. Only the call setup is charged to the local sim and the rest through MobiTrotter. This gives lower rates than just using a local SIM. The credits on the local SIM can be used for mobile surf at local prices.
All users can benefit from the WiFi services. This is the cheapest way of receiving and making calls as if the user was at home. As a added benefit the WiFi - WiFi calls are free. Users with locked phones can use the service when they are in the Hotel area or other WiFi spots during their travel. When they are off line there is a voice mail box saving any important messages. Some users are using a combination of the WiFi service and the local sim to keep down cost and at the same time be reachable everywhere.
The Market Size
The MobiTrotter service works globally so we are not limited by geography. We are operating on huge markets and we expect our percentage of it to be significant. We do of course need your help to use the app, test it and to tell your friends once you see the potential in it. The current and future markets are: Sweden, Scandinavia, Russia, Asia, Middle East, Americas and Africa
