Queenfish & Other tales first album!!

Who?
I am Ewa Wikström a.k.a Queenfish & Other tales. I’m a musician and singer who now resides in the northern Sweden. Riding my bicycle, taking walks, watching people or during late hours; fragments and experiences wind-up becoming lyrics and melodies.
Now they’ve matured enough to conclude into my first full-length album!

With help from good friends and family I’ve already come a long way in the making of this record. A part of the result you hear in the video above. I put a lot of effort and dreams into the creation of this, and I am proud and grateful for what we’ve achieved. Though there are still many things needed to be done before I can get the music out there!

Why?
It’s been two years since I recorded my first EP. The experience of making and recording my own music has opened-up a door to a new path in my life. Since then I toured around Europe, travelled a lot and lived in a small cottage for the last seven months in northern Sweden. I have gathered a group of fans and received lots of positive feedback and nice critics. This has encouraged me to carry-on composing. New material slowly has grown
to the point where I felt I needed to record a full-length album. So, a night in Stockholm, filled with inspiration, me and my closest masterminds Fede and Juhana came together over the idea to make the album. And so we did!

To be able to do this, it’s extremely important to package it well and make it look nice!
I need a web-site, album artwork design and other promotional material.
All this is necessary to reach out there, and this where you come into the picture!

What?
Your money will go to pay a graphic designer to develop my artistic profile and website.There will also be hard copies of the record, to sell, promote and market my music. And of course the money will as well go to the making and shipping of your gifts!

How?
Crowdfunding is for me basically the continuation of how I always worked around my music. To give and receive from friends, family and other musicians has been my way to go.
I like the idea of sharing my process with those who wants to be a part of it. I believe crowdfunding is an excellent way to go and a way to achieve a common goal.

Quien?
Soy Ewa Wikström, alias Queenfish & Other tales. Soy músico y cantante y ahora resido en el norte de Suecia. Cuando salgo a caminar, cuando voy en bicicleta, cuando observo a la gente o durante las horas de la noche; fragmentos de mis pensamientos se mezclan y resultan en textos y melodías. Todas estas experiencias han ido madurando dentro de mi y son suficiente como para hacer mi primer álbum completo!

Con la ayuda de amigos y familia ya pude realizar gran parte de este proceso de creación. Una parte puedes escuchar en el video arriba. He puesto mucho esfuerzo y convicción para lograr este disco y siento orgullo y agradecimiento por lo que hemos alcanzado. Pero aún hay miles de cosas que hay que hacer antes de que este disco se pueda lanzar.

¿Porqué?
Pasaron dos años desde que grabé mi primer EP. La experiencia de componer y grabar mi propia música abrió un camino nuevo en mi vida. Desde ese entonces hice una gira por Europa, viajé muchísimo y ahora los últimos siete meses viví en una cabaña en el bosque en el norte sueco. He juntado un grupo de fans/admiradores y he recibido muy buenas críticas sobre mi música. Esto me ha animado más y más a seguir en el camino de la composición. Lentamente nuevo material ha surgido, hasta el punto donde sentí que tenía suficiente como para grabar un álbum completo. Entonces, una noche llena de inspiración en Estocolmo, yo y dos brillantes personas (Fede y Juhana) juntamos las cabezas alrededor de cómo se podía realizar esta idea. Y si, la realizamos!

La grabación esta hecha y es realmente increíble. Creo que hay mucha gente esperando a escuchar y compartir mi música.
Y para poder hacer esto adecuadamente es necesario empaquetarlo y dejarlo bonito. Necesito una página web, el diseño del disco y material de promoción.
Todo esto es súper-importante para hacer crecer la música y es aquí donde ustedes entran la escena!

Qué?
Tu dinero se usará para pagar el diseño gráfico necesario para desarrollar mi perfil artístico y mi página web. Imprimiré copias del disco para promocionar y vender mi música. Tu contribución también será destinada a la fabricación y envío de los regalos!

Como?
Crowfunding es basicamente un continuacion de como he trabajado siempre alrededor de mi musica. El dar y recibir de musicos, amigos y familia ha sido mi forma.
Me gusta la idea de compartir mi proceso de creacion con las personas que deciden ser parte de este proyecto. Creo que crowfunding es un excelente camino para alcanzar una meta comun entre todos.
