Swedish Dads

By Heidi Harman The documentary film “Swedish Dads” investigates how paternity leave effects families, society and relationships in Sweden, in an international context.

We’re making a documentary film, investigating something very special, the Swedish paternity leave. We’re aiming to portrait what happens when Swedish and scandinavian men can take 6 moths from work, just like their wives, to spend time with the child during a time that only happens once in life.

We will look into the socio-, socio-anthropological and practical effects of the area trying to create a contemporary portrait of the phenomenon.
